Since its inception, C2 Paint has championed the art of paint-making, prioritizing quality, creativity, and community over mass production. Founded by Thomas Hill III, a visionary paint chemist disillusioned by the industry’s shift towards cheaper, faster production at the cost of quality, C2 Paint was born from a dream to defy the norms. In 1998, Hill united a group of independent paint dealers to launch the first and only dealer-owned paint brand in North America. This kindred—and often rebellious—partnership was grounded in a shared commitment to maintain their independence, turn the corporate structure on its head, and focus on delivering exclusive, high-quality paint products that exceed expectations while keeping our communities diverse and colorful.
