C2 Paint is the brainchild of paint tradesman and scientist, Thomas Hill, at once in love with his craft and frustrated with the quality of products available to his peers, family, and friends.
And so, in 1998, he set out to redefine what it meant to be a paint company — one that defied the industry standards of formulation, technique, and customer service — and made quality and color the main ingredients.

We approach our craft like a fine painter would — with unique, finely ground artisan-grade pigments, using complementary colors to tone (instead of black), and applying multiple colorants to create unmatchable, luminous colors. Curated by design professionals, our palette consists of 496 hand-picked, full spectrum colors that are timeless, elegant and undeniably beautiful – which makes choosing colors less stressful and more intuitive.
Our innovation doesn’t stop at the color formulas. We create all of our color samples with real eggshell paint — not printed reproductions — so that customers can be confident that the colors they choose are ones they’ll live with and love for years to come. We also introduced the industry’s first 17" x 25" Ultimate Paint Chip, our bedrock innovation, so customers can view a larger color memo to view how the light affects their color throughout the day.
Two decades and countless gallons later, C2 Paint maintains the highest standards of quality in every color and product.
